The technical identical panel series has been marketed under both the EXTER and E1000 brand names. 

EXTER/E1000 was introduced in 2005 and has achieved great popularity during the years on the market thanks to ease-of-use, solid functionality and reliable operation. Now key components have become difficult to source and the technical risk of maintaining the EXTER/E1000 product platform becomes too large.

Therefore, EOL is announced by 1. January 2018 along with the related dates:

  • End Of Life (EOL): 2018-01-01
  • Last Time Buy (LTB): 2018-12-31
  • Last Time Delivery (LTD): 2019-03-31
  • End Of Repair (EOR): 2022-12-31
  • End Of Service (EOS): 2022-12-31

Convert your old HMI applications to iX

iX Developer offers automatic conversion of EXTER/E1000 HMI applications created in Information Designer and E-Designer. The conversion tool helps to leverage existing HMI applications when moving to the iX platform. The automatic conversion feature is available when you start up iX Developer.

Function key templates

To support the conversion of function key applications, iX offers function key templates enabling an X2 panel to have a similar user interface as a key panel, but realized in a touch panel. The function key templates automatically add objects for navigating/controlling the application and emulate function keys, LEDS and text strips, making conversion as smooth as possible.
